Two defendants, identified as Johann G and Paul M, are additionally accused for attacks in Budapest during February 2023, around an yearly gathering called the “day of honor” that attracts far-right participants from across Europe.

Prosecutors describe Johann G. as a senior figure within the organization, responsible for organizing violent acts and bringing in new members.
Together with Paul M, he is alleged to have arranged training sessions where leftwing extremists practised combat techniques and rehearsed attacks. In storage facilities managed by Paul M, the network allegedly accumulated hammers, pepper spray, concealment items and communication devices.
Previous convictions and global responses
Another militant previously active with the organization, Lina E, became a cause celebre within certain radical left communities following her 2023 guilty verdict for attacks on presumed far-right targets.
America's terrorist listing renders organization affiliates barred from entering the United States, blocks financial holdings they may have within the world’s largest economy and criminalizes providing material support to them.
The German right-wing AfD party applauded the American move and urged the German administration to follow suit. However, the German foreign ministry simply stated it had “acknowledged” of the American classification.
“The threat posed by the organization has substantially diminished lately. Key leaders and most aggressive participants have already been convicted or remain detained.”
