Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased strikes in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and faced disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, according to local officials.

Moscow has increased attacks on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to apply pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," was stated in a online statement.

Officials stated that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles targeted the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A barrage of missiles damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from local officials.

Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A minor lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which remain under the control of invading troops.

All of Ukraine is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to spot.

National leaders told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and officials were anticipating further attacks.
