Chiefs Acknowledge Domestic Violence Allegations Involving Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night confirming they have knowledge of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of player Rashee Rice and had been in contact with the league office.
The organization omitted the name of the player specifically in their announcement and stated they would have ânothing more to add at this timeâ.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who also did not mention the athlete by name, shared a series of photos on Instagram that appeared to show indicators of bodily harm. She stated the individual in question was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has kids with the football player, whom the Chiefs selected in the 2023 draft.

Player's Prior Off-Field Troubles
The receiver was absent for the initial part of this NFL campaign due to an league-mandated ban for his role in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that left multiple people hurt. Rice was sentenced a month of incarceration and five yearsâ probation after pleading guilty to felony charges.
On the field, he finished the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Chiefs went with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a ten-year span.
