Barcelona Set to Play Historic Fixture at Upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday

The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish league over two years after they moved out for construction to commence.

“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the Camp Nou is due to hold close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.

Preparatory Events

Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said they were hoping for permission from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture versus the German side on 9 December at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
